Rarangi Deck and Pergola in Marlborough
Building a deck and pergola in Rarangi’s famous pea gravel ground was no easy feat. With over 30 piles to install and two large footings to support the Prolam posts, Marlborough Building Services had to get creative.
We used the bottoms of small drums to support the pile holes and prevent them from caving in, and we formed large in-ground shutters to support the Prolam footings. Despite the challenging soil conditions, our team completed the project on time and under the estimated budget.
