Over the last year we have had Marlborough Building Services (MBS) complete three separate renovations at our home – we now literally have a new house. Sam was recommended to us by a colleague who had just had him complete renovations at their house and she gave a rave review about MBS. Sam was extremely easy to work with; he was prompt with replying to queries and his communication was excellent – both about what he was planning on doing, if there needed to be a change of plan or at the end of the day describing what had been completed. The itemising of his invoices was accurate and his precision building was evident, Sam certainly has an eye for detail. Josh, his right hand man, was hard working and very thorough as well. Sam’s choice of other trades people was top notch as he communicated with them closely and kept everyone moving along according to the time line he had given us. We would whole heartedly recommend Sam, no matter what the build, he has the skill and capacity.

I recently had Marlborough Building Services Ltd to do some building and installation work at my tavern in Blenheim, it was to take out the main door and replace with a whole new double sliding door.
I found Sam to be totally professional from the first part of the contract until completion of the job. He did the total job with little to no disruption to the tavern and also worked absolutely professional keeping me totally updated on progress along the way.

We have recently completed a large chiller extension at our Butcher Shop. In order for the works to be completed as quickly as possible and with minimal disruption to our business, we knew we needed someone to undertake the management of the build.
After hearing great things about our Builder, Sam Newman, we decided to ask him to project manage the build, while also undertaking the building works required.
Sam took on the job, understanding the needs of our business and the importance of timeframes and safety to our customers and team. Sam provided us with a detailed schedule and a very clear outline on what to expect. He is a strong communicator and delivered the job on time and under budget. Sam worked in with all of our trades, a lot of them being our preferred choice and was always available for a quick phone call when needed.
