Sam
Managing Director
Sam is the Founder and Managing Director of Marlborough Building Services. Born and raised in Blenheim, Sam brings over 15 years of construction experience to the company. After a decade working on high-end commercial fit-outs and renovations for major companies in Australia, as well as managing mining camp refurbishments, Sam returned to Blenheim to establish Marlborough Building Services in 2021.
A Licensed Building Practitioner with a Diploma in Project Management, Sam is passionate about connecting with clients, designers, and skilled tradespeople to create dream spaces.
When he’s not on the job site, this proud family man enjoys spending time with his wife Petra and their two young daughters.

Jordan
Site Foreman
Jordan is a key part of the MBS crew and leads from the front. His craftsmanship shows on every project, and he sets the standard for the rest of the team.
Jordan got into building after reading that it ranked number one for job satisfaction, and he’s never looked back. His favourite part of the job is taking a project from start to finish and seeing it all come together.
Outside of work, he enjoys golf with mates and time with his family. If he wasn’t a builder, he’d probably be a ski instructor. When he gets a chance to relax, you’ll find him at Momorangi Bay or out in the Sounds at a good beach.

Luke
Luke joined the MBS crew last year and has been a solid addition ever since. He brings a great attitude to site and takes real pride in his work.
Roofing is his favourite part of the job, and he enjoys the challenges every roof brings. Luke got his start through the Gateway programme at Marlborough Boys’ College, spending a couple of days a week in the trade before moving into an apprenticeship shortly after. Away from work, he’s just as competitive, having been named his rugby team’s Player of the Year three times in recent years. He also loves hunting, fishing and diving, anything out in the country or on the water. If he wasn’t building, he’d probably be working on a farm or doing something outdoors. His favourite local spot is the Trout Hotel, where the pub grub is hard to beat.

James
If there’s a digger on site or good music playing, James is usually not far away. He grew up with a carpenter for a Dad, so building was always going to be on his radar. He likes the idea of creating something from scratch and seeing it come together, so when the chance came up to join the MBS crew, he jumped at it. He’s not afraid to get stuck in.
Away from work, James spends time with his daughter and loves anything outdoors, including heading to the bach for a dive or a fish. If he wasn’t building, he’d probably still be operating machinery somewhere around Marlborough. His favourite local spot for Friday beers is the Speight’s Ale House.
